Empowered to lead

Dear Dayton Creek Families,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I hope your summer has been restful and full of joyful memories! We are thrilled to welcome back our students and families for another year of learning, leading, and growing together.

Our school theme this year is:

Empowered to L.E.A.D.

Learn • Engage • Achieve • Discover

This theme is a natural progression of our journey from strengthening our collective efficacies with Better Together and Grit for Growth, and now to a focus on empowerment. At Dayton Creek, we believe every Cavalier has the ability to lead their own successful school experiences. We stay committed to providing the opportunities for each student to lead with confidence, competence, and compassion.

This year’s theme also connects deeply to our district-wide theme of Excellence Everyday. When students are empowered to learn essential knowledge and skills and engage in meaningful experiences, they are equipped to achieve academically and discover or create new ideas and possibilities. When students are empowered to lead, they are empowered to excel every day!

We look forward to our continued home-school partnership in this very important work of supporting the success of our Cavaliers. Thank you for being a vital part of our school community. Your positive involvement truly makes Dayton Creek Elementary a special place!
