Hello, Cavalier Families!
We’re excited to kick off the Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) program for the 2025–2026 school year and we have some big news! After more than 25 years of Watch D.O.G.S. in schools, the program has officially expanded to include M.O.M.S. (Moms of Marvelous Students). While Watch D.O.G.S. highlights the impact of fathers in schools, the new M.O.M.S. program celebrates and supports the vital contributions of mothers in their children’s school life. We can’t wait to launch this new and improved program at DCES and hope many of you will join us.
USD 230 Volunteer Registration
USD 230 does require all parent/school volunteers to complete a registration process. If you have completed this registration previously, it is valid for 3 years. The volunteer registration MUST be completed before you can volunteer at any USD 230 school.
To register, visit www.usd230.org, click Menu, go to the Families/Community tab, scroll down to Volunteer, and complete all three steps.

Shirts
We do ask that our Watch D.O.G.S/ M.O.M.S.. volunteers purchase their own shirts. These shirts will be required to be worn on your volunteer day. We do have shirts available for those Dads and Moms who have not received theirs yet. However, you will have to return it at the end of your volunteer day in order for us to wash it and have it available for the next volunteer who needs it.

What to Expect on Your Volunteer Day
Kindly present your volunteer card at the front office. You will receive a volunteer sticker. You will be required to follow the Watch D.O.G.S/M.O.M.S. sch
edule. This schedule allows you the opportunity to work with every grade level, while also seeing your own student(s) multiple times throughout the day, including lunch. Our teachers have pre-planned activities for you to do with the students in their classroom, and all of the students get very excited to see you!

3) Sign up! It's Easy - you will NOT need to register an account or keep a password on SignUp.
