Week of September 1-5, 2025
Good Morning Cavalier Families,
We had another fantastic week of learning at DCES as our classes continue to dive deeper into our first units of instruction. Our Cavaliers did an excellent job following directions during the A.L.I.C.E. Drill and showed perseverance in completing all Fall District Assessments. We're very thankful for the wonderful turnout of parents and guardians at our Parent Information Night. Your support makes a significant difference! With our engaged community, we’ll be successful in empowering our students to lead and show excellence everyday!
Lunch Guests
We are excited to welcome lunch guests back to Dayton Creek this week! Parents and guardians are always welcome to join their student(s) for lunch, and we love having family members share this special time with us!
When you come in to visit us during lunch, kindly check in at the front office and proceed to the cafeteria to wait for your child to arrive for lunch. There is a designated seating area for our lunch guests. As a special treat, parents sometimes bring lunch to share with their child. In such cases, non-school food items are not to be shared with classmates. This precaution ensures safety of children who might have food allergies. Moreover, classmates or friends from other classes will not be allowed to join the student(s) with their lunch guests. In accordance with BOE Policy KM, visitors are asked to silence cell phones and to refrain from using them in areas used by students.

We’re excited to kick off the Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) program for the 2025–2026 school year and we have some big news! After more than 25 years of Watch D.O.G.S. in schools, the program has officially expanded to include M.O.M.S. (Moms of Marvelous Students). While Watch D.O.G.S. highlights the impact of fathers in schools, the new M.O.M.S. program celebrates and supports the vital contributions of mothers in their children’s school life. We can’t wait to launch this new and improved program at DCES and hope many of you will join us. Click this link to sign up: https://signup.com/go/vmVfnUH
