Empowered to lead

Week of November 10-14, 2025

Good Evening Cavalier Families,

This past week at Dayton Creek reflected our school’s commitment to safety, excellence, and community spirit! We successfully conducted our second Fire Safety Drill. We also continued our valuable staff collaboration during Wednesday PLC focused on instruction and student growth. The KidsFit Challenge Assembly, hosted by Hy-Vee, celebrated Mrs. Pana’s 1st Grade class for placing in the Top 3 out of 400+ classrooms nationwide in the 2025 Mission to Move Challenge! Our 2nd Graders explored Science City and 4th Graders enjoyed the KC Symphony, extending learning beyond the classroom! The week wrapped up with a fun PTO Movie Night as part of the Fall Fundraiser Prizes.

DCES: An Engaged Community

We are so thankful for our amazing PTO and their unwavering commitment to supporting our school! Their dedicated hard work and time investment make such a positive difference for our school. Thank you so much to all the parents who extended their support this week especially during the fundraiser item pick-up and to those who volunteered their time to help monitor students during the movie.

Once again, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to our PTO Board, Room Parents, and Parent Volunteers for everything they do to bring our school community together! We also want to acknowledge and thank all the parents who support our school events, whether by attending, donating items, or helping in other ways behind the scenes. Your partnership and generosity make such a meaningful difference for our students and staff.

Please take the time to review the November PTO Newsletter to stay informed on PTO events and important announcements.

We also invite parents/guardians to attend our next PTO Meeting on Tuesday, November 12. Your ideas and involvement help make Dayton Creek such a special place for our Cavaliers!

Let’s continue to lead by example by showing kindness, patience, and Cavalier pride in all that we do!

All employees nominated will be recognized with a certificate and three of the nominees (Administration, Certified, Classified) will be chosen as the monthly USD 230 & Price Chopper Standing Ovation honorees.
