Empowered to lead

February 2-6, 2026

Good Evening Cavalier Families,

This past week at Dayton Creek was filled with learning, leadership, and celebration. Our 3rd–5th grade students powered through Math KAP Winter Interim assessments, while our primary grades marked exciting milestones: Kindergarten celebrated the 100th day of school, 1st grade the 101st day, and 2nd grade the 102nd day of learning and growing together! Classrooms also celebrated Kansas Day through meaningful learning experiences. We also proudly recognized students who exemplified Habit 4: Think Win-Win at our Leader in Me assembly with Slugger, and continued our commitment to safety by conducting a school safety (ALICE) drill.

We were also delighted to welcome new staff members to DCES this week! (Ms. Roni, Special Education Paraprofessional, and Mrs. Marin, our new Computer Lab Teacher)

The board encourages its patrons and parents to visit district facilities.Visits must be scheduled with the teacher and the building administrator. Notices are posted in school buildings to require visitors to check in at the office. Visitor identification must be worn at all times before proceeding to contact any other person in the building or on the grounds. All visitors should check out with the office at the end of their visit.
